What color is on front of Rebel pilot?

I've almost completed the pattern for the rebel pilot's torso, but I need some
input on what colors to use, specificaly for the area in the center of the
chest. Depending on how I look at the torso, this color appears either gold or
silvery. I'm currently using white for the top and left outline of the
"buttons" on the front of the center panel, but I'm not even sure about that.
What to others think?

| (...) or (...) Slightly off-topic, but when were the new minifig torsos introduced? All of my SW Figures have a different scheme for attatching to the legs than all of my other minifigs... I'm just wondering if this is new to the '99 Line of sets, (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
