The LDraw colour number for orange is 462, also supported by L3P.

| Gee, I'm just full of questions today, and I'm real glad you guys are willing to answer them. :) OK, we have a color list for Ldraw and Ldlite, but how about one for L3P. For orange in Ldlite you use 25, for Ldraw you use 4 because there is no (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)
