PTBrowser enables the user to create multiple views of the LDraw Parts Tracker Parts List. Each view can be filtered to include only parts meeting user-defined criteria and is displayed in a configurable hierarchy. Parts displayed in each view can be ordered by any of the standard fields - number, description, filename, votes or submission.

For example, all Minifig related parts could be displayed in one view and all Animal related parts in another. The Minifig view could be categorised by Head, Torso, Hips, Legs, Weapons, Shields and Utensils and within each of those categories by Status (certified, in progress, held, etc) while the Animal view may be categorised by Land, Sea and Air and within each of those categories by part type (main part and sub-part).

To extend this example, additional views could be added for all Held parts and all Primitives (perhaps categorised as low and hi res). As a part may occur in any appropriate view a held primitive would appear on both these part lists, while a held Minifig torso would appear on both the held and minifig lists.

A special ‘watched list’ view enables a list of arbitary parts to be created, organised and managed and saved from one session to the next. This enables parts of interest to be quickly checked from day-to-day, or week-by-week.

Additional special views enable Parts Authors and Reviewers to retrieve their Submitted and/or Reviewed parts lists and organise them.

Dear William, I am surprised that none other has replied to this piece of work! Perhaps it is too difficult to understand how to even get it installed. However, I have succesfully got it to work quite easily. I am giving it a thorough look now and (...) (19 years ago, 7-Mar-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad.dev)
