Neat!

If you are interested in any of the DAT files you can find them in this Gallery...

If anyone in the LDraw community has tips on integrating images into a Quadrilateral I would love to here them.

For further work on custom torsos, I recommend grabbing the program called Quad 2 Dat. This is a fairly easy 2D program, made specifically for people creating LDraw patterned parts. The main problem with Quad2Dat is that it’s somewhat buggy -- you should save your work often.

Thanks Steve,

I took your recommendation and tried Quad2Dat. I can see what you mean about it being buggy (and incomplete). It is too bad development on it didn’t continue it seems to have a lot of potential.

For simple images I can see it being useful but some of the more complex ones it is still difficult. I just can’t seem to be able to keep from overlaping Quads.

What would be nice is if one of the preexisting tools allowed you to insert an image into a given Quad. LDraw Design Pad comes close but it seems to distort the image in order to fit it into a Quad. It would be nice if the tool would resize the image proportionally and inserted it into the Quad without distortion.
