IMHO a mosaic can't replace true vectors or poligons. regardless of the
resolution you will still need an obcene amount of quads to define the shapes.
it won't be the giant leap but it would be the small step if the LSC could with
a new linetype describing poligons. still human readable they would fulfill the
most wanted requirement for ldraw.

Just look for the longest straight line near 90 or 0 degrees and rotate it to (...) (21 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
