How many of you out there are using third party applications such as 3d studio max or lightwave to generate ldraw parts and then converting them back to dat files? If so, are there examples of your work prior to conversion? Thanks, Karl (21 years ago, 15-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I use Rhino for some of the more compicalted parts and then convert with STL2DAT. I'll send you the file for one of my parts if your program of choice can import 3dm or stl files. -Orion (21 years ago, 16-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

(...) I use a little, cheap and very trashy cad-prog called "reflections" and 3d-studio to convert it's dxf-files to dats. If you are interested to have a look at the dxf-files let me know. willy (21 years ago, 22-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
