I like it. I have a couple of questions (as an interloper, not as an author)
1. (technical) *Are* the grey lobes constant width? Matt had them flaring
WAY too much in his first version. You still have some (much less) flare. I
don't have the part in front of me right now so I can't remember for certain
but I thought they were constant width.
2. (procedural) Did Matt register this part as one that he was working on?
If so, I assume you just posted yours as an example of how to do it, right?
If not, Matt, you need to use the parts tracker, I think. That tracker is
there to avoid duplication of effort.
I looked here:
http://home.swipnet.se/~w-20413/ttracker/ttracker.htm (is that the right
place?, it should be listed on the front page of the group, Todd...)
and didn't see it listed as either Matt OR Franklin's WIP.
We have here an example of someone who is trying to do parts, but may not be
doing things quite the right way. Matt needs to acknowledge the feedback
he's getting from Chris, and Franklin, both experienced parts authors, as
what they are saying (which isn't intended to be harsh) is advice that has
been learned the hard way. IMHO. Let's avoid letting things get too far.
Again IMHO.
However no one needs to necessarily acknowledge *me*. I'm just a gadfly.
