30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —John VanZwieten
I'd love to have other suggestions for naming this thing. 0 FILE 30377.dat 0 MPD Author: John VanZwieten 0 0 This .MPD was compiled using M-Peedy 0 (URL) Battle droid arm 0 Name: 30377.dat 0 Author: John VanZwieten 0 Unofficial Element 0 Angle from (...)         Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Jeff Stembel
     (...) What about "Double-Ended, Angled Clip"? :) Jeff (25 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —John VanZwieten
Jeff Stembel <aulddragon@wamalug.org> wrote in message news:Fsz2F8.Hpw@lugnet.com... (...) Hmmm. That's along the lines of what I was looking for. But now that I think about it, all the battle droid parts should probably be together in the minifig (...) (25 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Jonathan Wilson
(...) Good idea. Then r2 can go in as minifig droid R2 unit & say 3p0s head can go in under minifig droid 3po head. (25 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Todd Lehman
(...) I'm not positive, but I think the R2-D2 may be part of a larger class of Astromech droids. (Not all R2 units have hemispherical heads like R2-D2.) C-3PO (and TC-14) are Protocol Droids, IIRC. [crossposted to .starwars for verification :-] (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Jonathan Wilson
(...) My mistake. Try minifig droid astromech. (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.starwars)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Steve Bliss
(...) I agree here, at least partly because I doubt the battle droid parts will ever be used outside of Star Wars sets. How adding KEYWORDS and CATEGORY lines: 0 KEYWORDS clip 0 CATEGORY Minifig Droid Partsref recognizes both of these (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) That may be correct, but we may still see the use of individual parts not as battle droids. Like the UCE X-Wing Fighter, with R2D2 bodies in the blaster cannons on the wings. I'd still vote for naming the parts as "Battle Droid" elements in (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Steve Bliss
(...) So far it's been limited to using the arms as arms and legs, right? We could just put all these parts in a "Star Wars" category. :O Steve (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Chuck Sommerville
(...) This looks like a nice little double ended clip to be. I bet you could use it to hold all sorts of things together. -Chuck (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) How about introducing a complete R2 shortcut? That should elliminate any confusion as to where the individual parts reside? Fredrik (25 years ago, 16-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Steve Bliss
(...) That's probably a good approach to take. Steve (25 years ago, 17-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

        (canceled) —Fredrik Glöckner

Re: 30377.dat Battle Droid Arm —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) Great! I've found this part to be the most useful Battel Droid part, as it can be used as an "adapter" in the clip system. Say you want to connect a pole/antenna/whatever parallell to another; just use two Battle Droid arms! They do the job (...) (25 years ago, 14-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
