To me this looks like an Autogyro where the forward thrust is generated by the
propellor and the upward lift comes from the free-running rotor which is driven
by airflow only. So it would be an STOL (Short Take Of and Landing), I think.
Nice model otherwise.

| (...) Actually, I based this model on a new craft being tested by the US Military from last month's Popular Science/Mechanics (I can't remember which). They classified it as a VTOL, so I went with it. It actually takes off like a chopper, but (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)
