Hi all, Jake McKee e-mailed me with a idea; a poster with all the dat-parts rendered in POV-Ray with part number and discription on it. I thought, "Wow, that would be great but how do I get 10.000 parts (yes I know now, it is "just" 2500) on a (...) X-posting to the other groups I accidentaly cut. & here is a picture for comparison between the LDraw colours (left) & Suz's accurate colours (right) (URL) blue & the tan benefit the most from the new colours. Just recently I was trying to find an old colour for a model that I was building. During my searching I came across Suz's Color Reference: (URL) had all of the colours of current & past LEGO pieces :-) I also found a post by Steve Bliss: (URL) of (...)   custom steering/suspension joint assembly  [DAT]
 
This is the .dat file of the custom assembly I used in my 4WD ute. The axle went through the single hole at the front. Though there are not yet official Minifig Heads with Glasses Patterns, I wanted to put glasses on a character. I got bored today because it is 95+ degrees here. So I dug into my 'special parts' tool rack and built this. It is a FULL blaster cannon. Michael www.ldraw.org has sort of started trying to do this. The biggest problem they are running with is attempting to provide a standard naming format. IMOP ldraw or lugnet should be the place to hold these instructions you have. I too have some (...) (25 years ago, 29-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Hi, I was thinking about putting up a web-page where I will convert all my original LEGO kits to DAT files, complete with all the steps that are in the original building instructions. (...) I mocked up a DAT file of the design. I took the liberty of a small change to overcome the most common disassembly technique (the wiggle the plates out method).
