Michael www.ldraw.org has sort of started trying to do this. The biggest problem they are running with is attempting to provide a standard naming format. IMOP ldraw or lugnet should be the place to hold these instructions you have. I too have some (...) (25 years ago, 29-Apr-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Hi, Any good ideas for a DAT file for an ice scupture. I have a chunck of snow about 2m x 2m x 3m high. I'd like to sculpt a Lego creation of a few parts. (...) And I was seriously considering recomending LDraw over Autocad to a friend of mine. And It was precisly what L-Draw could be used for other than Lego(R) was why I found Lugnet :-)))!
