I was playing around with the idea of Bussard collectors, and I came up with this. Not terribly clever, and it isn't a complete buildable object (there's nothing holding it together), it uses a couple of big cheater pieces, and has unrealistic (...) Okay, I've(my brother had the original idea, but I built it) done this in LEGOs, but until I get a digital camera or a scanner it'll stay LDRAW. Jamie (my 12yo son) discovered an interesting shape, using plate hinges. He built an octagonal shape, by putting hinge plates <part: 4275> and <part: 4276> onto a z-bracket <part: 6087>. He repeated this structure eight times, and fit it all (...) (26 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Hello Folks, I have to dig out this 'thread' again. I don't know if Joachim fixed his problem so I ask only on my side of the problem. Could I submit stickers for the vote? Yes, that's pretty cool. When I moved, I modelled my new living-room in LDraw format to see how the furniture best should be arranged. I have also made a draft of a blueprint on a building project in wood in LDraw format. ...but that will be (...) (26 years ago, 11-Oct-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Hello ! I've just updated my BMP-to-LDraw converter windows tool. I added 3 more palettes (2 with dithered colors) and the possibility to choose your palette. Hello ! the last two days I was busy to program this BMP-to-LDraw converter windows tool. It runs under Win95/98/ME/2000 and it convertes logo-bitmaps of LEGO-bricks to LDAT-format - just as BMP2DAT or the tool in the LDAO suite should do ;).. Fell (...) I built a 10x50 stud rover with 7 stud ground clearance. It uses four of these wheels, which though a bit forced into shape, work pretty well except that they have little friction on slick floors. This is a carpet vehicle :) --Bram 0 FILE (...) (26 years ago, 23-Sep-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

Anyone have a DAT file for a steering mechanism? I have put together a set of wheels that can be turned (as in steered) but because the model is not very wide, none of the parts I have are working.
