Yeah, I'm using 3d win. I made an ouline model just for the edges, and even
that came out with a bunch of triangles. If only mlcad had some proper
drafting tools for working at this level of detail. Text entry of
coordinates in a graphical environment is a PITA, as is no ability to snap
to lines.
I think you're right about 3dfaces not being true quads. Would a solid model
give better results? Maybe I'll try that next.
