LDView version 1.9.10 is now available, in both source and binary forms.
You can download either from:

Some highlights of version 1.9.10 include:
Added ability to assign hot keys to preference sets
Added six preset viewing angles (front, back, left, right, top, and bottom)
Added LDView screen saver as optional step in install
Added ZIP-based distribution back as an option to the executable installer
There are a number of other changes, most of them bug fixes. You can take a
look at the change history both on the web site and in the
ChangeHistory.html file included in the install package for a list of all of
the changes in each version.
This version is Windows-only. Despite appearances to the contrary, the
QT-based Linux version will be updated in the future.
The zip-based packaging was added back based on feedback from the previous
version that lacked it. If you want to use LDView as a screensaver while
using the zip-based packaging, you'll have to read the instructions in the
Help.html file.

p.s. For those of you who have seen my comments in lugnet.cad.dev, the new
features I'm working on mentioned there aren't in this release. They won't
be in the next release, either (which will almost certainly be 2.0). They
should be in the first LDView pre-3.0 development release. My LDView 3.0
code branch will involve a complete rewrite of the model loading and
rendering code.
