    max problems —Thomas Burger
   ok i got the file dll, but orion heres one thing. i use cinema 4d xl as a 3d modeler, and it exports as 3ds files (file.3ds) im wondering how to make ascii files without the 3ds max (22 years ago, 1-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad)

     (...) You've happened upon the reason I don't use MAX2DAT: I can't since I can't export 3dm or ase files with Rhino. Trying to find a converter is how I found 3DWin for everyone but, if I recall, 3DWin doesn't do 3dm file either. -Orion (22 years ago, 1-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad)

   (...) ok i downloaded it, and it doesnt import 3ds. unless im drunk (yes) and dont see it. but really it only imports the ascii 3ds files. unless im missingf something let me know. i downloaded the latest version and stuff. (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad)

   File > Import > Autodesk .3DS (weird name) right below Autocad .DXF. But I was wrong in one thing: Milkshake is not freeware and requires a $25 registration after 30 days. IVCON is a command prompt utility that claims to do the same conversion. I'm (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad)
