(...) of four 1x1 bricks in a row with the letters "G", "A", "R" and "Y" on them. The colour of the letters flash for a second or so. That's it. I would guess that this animations could be compressed to around 200KB by using the animated GIF format. (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: My first animation —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) Why not? For an animation with a limited number of colours, sharp contrasts and a few number of frames, the animated GIF format is probably the best. Making an animation which repeats itself is also easy. Also, with the animated GIF format, (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: My first animation —Gary E. Blessing
I made the model with MLcad, and used the built in picture function, and just changed the color of the bricks between pics, then I used a program I got here: (URL) the second one from the top, pjBmp2Avi.         Re: My first animation —Tore Eriksson
I zipped the gary.avi file down to 152 kb using WinZip. Guess it was some air in it... I tried that tool and sort of liked it. To be Freeware it's excellent, but it really messed the colours up in 256 color mode.. I also tried Animation Shop 3 from (...) (23 years ago, 31-Jul-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: My first animation —Fredrik Glöckner

Re: My first animation —Tore Eriksson
Thank you, Fredrik. Sorry, I don't remember what codex or format I used, other than reduced the color depth to 256. That is essential I guess. No, I don't bend the minifig legs. I just let the straight legs oscillate 0 , -22.5 , -45 , -22.5 , 0 , (...) (23 years ago, 1-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Re: My first animation —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) It sounds like it uses an animated GIF-like technique, then. You may want to try to compose a real animated GIF animation, too. Such a file would be viewable from inside a browser window, thus no external viewer program is needed. And besides, (...) (23 years ago, 1-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)
