It's probably one of two things. Either you're double-clicking on LDRAW.EXE
(running it without any parameters), or LEDIT.EXE is throwing back an error
message. Try opening a DOS prompt window, and running LEDIT.EXE from there.
If LEdit does throw back an error message, it's probably either:
1. Runtime Error 200 - your machine is too fast. There is a fix, however.
see <http://www.ldraw.org/memorial/archive/FAQ/#question-28>
2. Runtime Error 003 - You installed LDraw into a directory with long
(non-DOS) names or spaces. This is an issue because LDRAW.EXE and LEDIT.EXE
are both DOS programs. Reinstall into a DOS-friendly directory. see
<http://www.ldraw.org/memorial/archive/FAQ/#question-29>
I personally use LEdit to do all my modelling, but if you want a Windows
program, there are good alternatives which also use the LDraw parts
libraries. You might want to check out:
