Hi guys,
I've recently noticed that there are a number of 3D artists who are selling Lego
models on sites such as TurboSquid, FallingPixel and Exchange3D.
The prices for these models range from $2 to $239
See the following link as an example:
http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-max-lego-movie-characters/576438
I'm now experimenting with TurboSquid to try and gauge demand for these kinds of
models. I've created an initial model that is available as a free download:
http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/pirate-minifigure-legs-lego-3ds-free/613093
I've been careful to emphasize that the model is available under the CCAL
licence (this licence allows for commercial use)
If there is enough interest I may start charging for some models, although I
have a feeling that I would need to include things like character rigging before
I would be able to generate a sale :-)
Does anyone know of other commercial uses for LDraw derived models?
Bye for now
Reuben
