Hi Jim,

Very interesting... one question before I commit myself to learn Sketchup, is it
possible to import LDraw primitives, and build more complex shapes on them? Lack
of proper integration of primitives is always what plagues advanced CAD tools
usage for LDraw authoring...

(...) Hi Philo, Good question. In fact, Jim Foltz's su2ldraw plugin does include LDraw-to-SketchUp import and treatment of type 1 lines as SketchUp components (subparts). Unfortunately, I was not able to get su2ldraw to work (SketchUp 8 on Mac OS X (...) (14 years ago, 2-Feb-11, to lugnet.cad)
