Hi All,

Hi Gus,
You're welcome.  In fact since the early days of LSynth 2.0, I have not
touched the code much.  Don Heyse and Willy Tschager have been working together
on this and really improving things, so thanks goes to them too.

I'm trying to do something a little tricky in a set of Technic instructions and
I'm not sure how to do it.  I need to show parts with arrows to guide them into
place.  The old way I learned to do this sort of stuff was to use the buffer
exchange in MLCad.  That sort of works but it messes up the part, on in my case
sub-model, count when I run it through LPub.  Is there a better solution?  I
would love to show a sub-assembly a few LEGO units out from where it goes with
arrows to show where the pins go and then continue from there with the
sub-assembly in place.

Buffer exchange is still the right thing to do.

What version of LPub are you using 4.0.0.3?  In theory it solves problems in
this area.  If you are using this version and there are still issues, please
email me the files to recreate the problem.

Also, how do I set the colors of the wires in LSynth.  I used to know a way but
now I can't quickly find the answer.  I'm using LSynth to make NXT wires and I'm
considering coloring the wires to make it clearer what goes where.

I honestly don't remember.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Gus

Kevin

(...) I think you do it on the SYNTH BEGIN line. Here's first line of an orange cable in one of Willy's examples. Orange is color 25. 0 SYNTH BEGIN ELECTRIC_NXT_CABLE 25 Have fun, Don (15 years ago, 1-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)
