The 2009-01 LDraw parts update has been now been released. This update includes 671 files in the core library, including 307 new parts, and many more files updated with improvements for Back Face Culling support. A total of 19 parts have been (...) (17 years ago, 2-May-09, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad) !!

(...) On further investigation, it is now clear why I did this. All three files are obsolete and not used by any official parts and as primitives/subparts should not be directly referenced in models. (...) You need to put the unofficial parts in a seperate folder, but you can keep them mixed with the official parts as well at the same time. If you do want to keep them separate, you can point LDview to the unofficial folder (as you already (...) (17 years ago, 28-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

(I thought I already answered but don't see the message appear...) (...) That's what I do too. But I keep a pure official library in a separate folder. I use this as LDraw library path for MPD wizard while my regular LDraw folder is the unofficial (...) (17 years ago, 27-Apr-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

I would put it in your Majhost gallery (because of the close relationship with Brickshelf I see no reason why it would not be allowed. eg. the TOS is the same...)
