  Re: DATHeader New Release

(...) Mike, Feel free to email me (or Travis) directly if you want to discuss the impact on DATHeader of the latest change to the !LDRAW_ORG meta-statement William (19 years ago, 7-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Update to the LDraw Library Header Specification

At the request of the PT Admins, the LSC has amended the format of the !LDRAW_ORG meta-statement to permit zero or more qualifiers. The format of this meta-statement is now 0 !LDRAW_ORG Part|Subpart|Primiti...e|Shortcut (optional qualifier(s)) (...) (19 years ago, 7-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.announce)

Re: MPDCenter Question to the users

(...) Hi, I worked with you're program a while back with the infamous Imperial Star Destroyer mpd. My 2 cents: - Make it possible to write all subfiles without a save dialog for every part (I wound up pressing save 98 times) - A cancel in any of the (...) (19 years ago, 4-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad)

  MPDCenter Question to the users

I have looked at LDraw.org and found, that over 500 people has downloaded by that link. So it should be also some more. At present I want to know 1) Are you satisfied with this program? 2) Or do you want it faster? I have some good ideas for that (...) (19 years ago, 4-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad)

Dean Earley schrieb: (...) Yes, you are right. The last step before writing to disc was to put all in a text box. So stupid. Fixing was easy and should have not rise other problems in this case. Many thanks for your hint. cu mikeheide (19 years ago, 4-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

  DATHeader New Release

The problem is fixed. Now it should be possible to process files with approx. size by 1.5 GByte. Sorry for the trouble that maybe caused this bug to you. cu mikeheide (19 years ago, 4-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: DATHeader ALERT!

(...) I seem to recall it was written in VB? If so, the VB text box has a content size limit of 65K. The only way around this is to work on an in memory string buffer and not store (and read back) the result in the text box. (19 years ago, 2-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

  DATHeader ALERT!

Please do not use DATHeader on files that exceed 64k because they will be cut at 64k. I will investigate that problem later. I fixed the problem that I had by mirrored subfiles. cu mikeheide (19 years ago, 2-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPUB question

(...) Hi Ludo, There is a bug in the l3p program that LPub uses, causing a single part to always look gray when rendered. To fix this you can either (1) go in MLCAD and create a duplicate of the part in the exact same space (I usually take this (...) (19 years ago, 2-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad)

  LPUB question

Hi, I do have a simple question. I made a ldr file with one piece, 70501B (Minifig Coin with 20 Mark). I colored it yellow, then saved the file and rendered it using LPUB (V. 2.2.0.1). My "problem" now is: Why is my rendered coin always gray, (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw File Format Spec 1.0 DRAFT - Call for Public Comments

(...) Yes. That will go into the new "-y is up" section. I'm open to suggestions on the exact wording on this section, but I suspect that we can copy from the authors' guide document, which I believe already describes this. --Travis (19 years ago, 28-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw File Format Spec 1.0 DRAFT - Call for Public Comments

(...) Also important is the fact that LDraw's model world is in a right-handed coordinate system. The current draft doesn't mention this. Steve (19 years ago, 28-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw File Format Spec 1.0 DRAFT - Call for Public Comments

(...) Travis, I'm quite satisfied with your dual format explanation. It is simple and concise. Kevin (19 years ago, 28-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw File Format Spec 1.0 DRAFT - Call for Public Comments

(...) Travis, I have *had to add* support for blanks in LPub, because so many kids expect to be able to use them. Unfortunatly, kids won't read the spec, they will just do what comes naturally. I'm an old goat, so I'm personally not a fan of blanks (...) (19 years ago, 28-Aug-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)
