 | | 3D Transformations Architecture Question

| Feedback from the guys who built the viewers (LDGlite, LDView, etc) would be really great on this. I have a project, not Lego, but similar and I'm writing some software for 3D viewing and manipulation of items. The LDraw architecture is a good match (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jul-07, to lugnet.cad)

| (...) I must say they chose a very creative solution to the issue of how to run cables :) (so as not to tease, each end of a cable is represented by the modular connector and a small length of wire. Colored arrows are used to match up which end runs (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad)

| OK, it looks like the Mac version isn't quite ready for prime-time, but I'm curious if anybody else has noticed this: (URL) tried it out yet? I've got one model (my NXT remote) already made, and the learning curve was far easier than I expected (it (...) (19 years ago, 10-Jul-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad)

| I know host (URL) OLC>, a neat program written by Richard Baxter which calculates conditional lines of a LDraw file. I have also made some minor improvements to my own (URL) Isecalc> and (URL) Linetrim>. Enjoy, Philo (19 years ago, 6-Jul-07, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

| (...) John, I am in no way a POV-Ray expert (I'm pretty much a novice) but I have done it on a Mac. The tools I use after putting together the model using ldglite or MacBrickCAD or Bricksmith are the Mac OS X version of L3P, POV-Ray 3.6, and (...) | (...) Hmmmmm... do I give my secrets away or not? ;) In truth I don't think my renderings are close to the nicest but they are very cheap in terms of time for a fairly high reward (or at least one I like). | I'd really appreciate your help, Tim. As you now know, I'm a Mac person and so I never got into MLCAD, and haven't really explored Bricksmith too much. Ross, however, has puttered in MLCAD, and can create models fine (although he needs to learn (...) (19 years ago, 2-Jul-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad, FTX)
