When I POVray a model using Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Chrome, the
grille often turns out dark gray instead of chrome:
Brick 1
x 4 with Town Car Grille Chrome
Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille White (used white, cause it looks better than
the dark gray that chrome turns out to be)
Blue: Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Chrome (looks gray)
Yellow: Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Chrome (looks chrome!)
Blue: Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille White (same reason as above)
Yellow: Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Chrome
What is causing this grayness???
Another question, the parts library contains three versions:
Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Black
Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille Chrome
Brick 1 x 4 with Town Car Grille White
The black pattern is used on the white bricks. On all other colored bricks (red,
blue, yellow and black) Ive only seen the chrome pattern, never a white
pattern. Is this brick with a white pattern a real existing brick? Peeron lists
one set using the white pattern: 1 in 1620-2 - Chocomel Promotional Set:
Chocomel Factory (1978). But if I look at the instructions booklet, the
photographs show a chrome pattern. Did this set really contain the white
pattern?
