Re: Partsref is Moving to LUGNET

(...) No, it's OK: people can link directly to the images just as they did before at the previous location. On the splash page, it even says how to refer to the images at the new URL. --Todd (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Full range of colors?

(...) The LDraw FAQ is pretty comprehensive when it comes to the LDraw colors. LDAO does have a color chart, showing all possible allowed combinations for LDraw, but the colors are actually generated from LDLite. BUT, I *think* I posted a "color (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Partsref is Moving to LUGNET

(...) Ooo, didn't think about that one. Hmm. I guess you'll need to copy the images off to your own server. That's too bad. BTW, the primary reason I wanted to move off the WorldNet site was because I could never get an FTP connection to do updates. (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Partsref is Moving to LUGNET

(...) Well, like it says on the page, "To reference a part image, when you already know the LDraw number for that part, use the following URL format. (URL).gif" In other words, linking directly to these images is OK in this case. (...) These are (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.db.brictionary)

  Full range of colors?

I've looked through the LDraw FAQs, and I'm casually familiar with the color palette available, but I was wondering if anyone has assembled a more-or-less comprehensive listing of the colors available for use with LDraw. (Mind you, that was all one (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Trailer on Flatcar (TOFC)

(...) Actually, this was meant to be 3 separate autonomus files. Just Copy & Paste one, save it as the filename listed on line 2, then do the same to the second, then the third. If LDLite can't receive colors #277 and #391, Then find a compromise in (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.trains)

Re: Partsref is Moving to LUGNET

I could host the images if it makes it easier for people to use it, or cheaper for LUGNET. (I don't have any restrictions on direct linking). KL (...) from (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Partsref is Moving to LUGNET

(...) Arguably you're going to have to make copies of the images and host them yourself. That's a downside. I didn't have too much guilt over having AT&T pay for the traffic (presumably Steve isn't paying per byte the way Todd is). (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Old Parts replaced by Newer Versions?

Currently, my biggest pet peeve is 4212.dat, the 4 x 10 x 2/3 car base. The new version actually 4 x 10 x 18/24, the square section in the center has been sunk fruther in so that 2x2x2 town chairs in down to the first plate level. One long plate can (...)   help - part number wanted

I'm currently working on an inventory for set #8448 "Technic Space Shuttle". So far I've found one unidentifiable part I can't find in any parts list. A quick search on lugnet didn't get me anywhere. The part ist used in the gear box (instruction (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.inv)

Re: Resubmission of: Trailer on Flatcar (TOFC)

(...) LDLite isn't displaying it properly. This happens with certain MPD files, but I don't know why. I'd suggest downloading it and using one of the programs that splits .mpd files to view it correctly. Jeff P.S. This is the main reason I support (...)   Re: Resubmission of: Trailer on Flatcar (TOFC)

(...) <snipped dat> Well, I am not sure what this is, but it is not a TOFC IMHO. Until the last step I thought it was kind of "roadrailer"-ish. But that big yellow front part baffles me. Either that or LDLite is displaying it wrong... A TOFC is a (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.trains)

Resubmission of: Trailer on Flatcar (TOFC)  [DAT]

Whoops! Error in my in the final .DAT file. It is corrected in this copy. I elected to change the trailer's final color. In case it shows up hollow, #391 is a mixture of the two grays. (...)   Re: Part Authoring

  Trailer on Flatcar (TOFC)  [DAT]

Whether this item is used in Datsville or not, I felt that LEdit/LDraw users could use an intermodal transport system. To this effect, I have built a TOFC or a flatcar with a trailer mounted aboard it. You should notice that the trailer is easily (...) (25 years ago, 1-Dec-99, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)
