Re: Patterns: Outline or no outline?

(...) The black sections on 973p74 are probably my mistake, since the basis of the pattern (without the Police decorations) was a copy of 973p73. Generally speaking, unless we have evidence the that colour is actually printed, by having the same (...) (13 years ago, 15-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: 3D laser scanning

(...) Hi all, I'm late to this party - I'm kind of languishing through another LEGO Dark Age.. We recently got a new desktop 3D scanner at my work. I am trying to learn how to use it, so I'd be up for doing some parts. The process of making the (...) (13 years ago, 15-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Patterns: Outline or no outline?

(...) I second that. I do not think there is a strict rule to follow. It depends mostly if main color adds or takes away something to the pattern. Check out my 973pw5 and how I interpreted: (URL) (13 years ago, 14-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Patterns: Outline or no outline?

Hello Lee, (...) A tough question indeed. The recommended practice is to be faithful to the real part, eg. if the areas with background color are not printed, then use main color, otherwise use solid background color. Exception to this occur if (...) (13 years ago, 14-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Patterns: Outline or no outline?

Since my last three patterned parts have gone over well I've been working on two more: (URL) running into a design problem with these parts that I haven't had with the others. As you see those two parts only come in black. What I wasn't sure about (...) (13 years ago, 14-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Missing Parts

(...) Hi Rolf, Thank you very much for this! Now I only have two more files to find. Best regards, Miran (13 years ago, 14-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Missing Parts

Hi, I'm building a lot of stuff with MLCAD. But now I came across a problem I can't solve; I need the parts with bricklink.com codes 60800, 3068bpb62 and x93. Has anyone got these parts by any chance? (I've looked on the parts tracker on (...) (13 years ago, 10-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Primitives and long file names

(...) The plus for primitives is that they don't have to be human readable. It's possible to develop a system which more than covers the full range without breaking 8 characters. For example we use up to four characters (eg. 3-16) for fractions (...) (13 years ago, 9-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad)
