Re: Last call for bug reports on LD4DStudio

(...) I really wish I had the time to dig into LD4DStudio and pass that learning threshold. But I have dedicated my vacation to add some seconds on my project: Animation from Datsville using my own LDA software. Far less advanced and developed than (...) (14 years ago, 28-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LPub 4 Callouts (and other questions)

(...) Bringing this feature request back to life ... I'm working on a project now that's 45 bricks tall. I'd love the ability to reposition the image inside the crop window, or specify if I'd like the top, bottom, or both (current behavior) to be (...) (14 years ago, 28-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

Last call for bug reports on LD4DStudio

Hello all, Next week my vacation starts and I was planning to use part of it to make a final 1.2 version of LD4DStuido. But I have very little bug reports from people other than myself, so if you have something to report now is the time. Also the (...) (14 years ago, 28-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

Re: 2009/2010 LDraw.org Standards Committee (LSC) - Call for Nominations

(...) Not that I'm anxious to give up my spot on the LSC, but we have not done much in a while and we have exceeded a year. I think it is time for new blood, or at least a good jump start. Scott W. (14 years ago, 27-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: LDConfig_Alt.ldr

(...) It sure does! Now that I finally have got it less flooded in light, maybe I've gone too far in the the darkness. Let's see where it all ends up after some more tweaking. But I must say this... (URL) very much better than this... (URL) all for (...) (14 years ago, 26-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Datsville Rev037 - Minor Update

The new revision of my unofficial Datsville is available at: (URL) exciting news. Just some clean-up work and removing light sources from the include file hills-pov, to prevent light flood. /Tore (14 years ago, 25-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) Thanks for the suggestion. The answer would depend on two things: Whether or not Ace and I could come to an agreement. Whether or not Ace has a company. Joint iOS development requires proving to Apple that there is an actual company involved. (...) (14 years ago, 24-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) A friend of mine has written just three super cheesy apps and has more than re-cooped the fee. Might be worth it. Scott W. (14 years ago, 23-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub Error Message?

(...) ... (...) ... (...) I just re-read your post, and see you're saying you're getting BFC error messages, not BFC errors. I'm not sure how these would be visible from LPub (I haven't run LPub recently), but I would expect that they would rule out (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) Could you team up with Ace Kim from fbtb.net who has already created an app? (URL) That would save the $100 cost, sell for $.99 or even $1.99? Just a thought. I'd buy one. Chris Eyerly (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub Error Message?

(...) LDView doesn't have a cache. I'm pretty sure LPub has image caches, though. You might investigate that. Also, when you say "BFC errors", I assuming you're talking about places where the BFC winding is wrong, which results in improper rendering (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: LPub Error Message?

(...) Okay, now I'm really baffled. I'm trying to generate a BoM for a model that contains six different clone elements. I've gone through and deleted all BFC statements from each part and from each clone sub-part and clone primitive, and I'm still (...) (14 years ago, 21-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) It would be an LDraw viewer for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. If I wrote it, it would be based on LDView (and presumably be called LDView), but would have a simplified UI appropriate to the iOS touch interface. It would be available on the Apple App (...)   Re: iPad and Android

(...) Okay, explain to me (in layman terms) what you are talking about here. If it is anything remotely related to ldraw and LEGO, hell, I'd pay the .99 to support the effort! JOHN (14 years ago, 20-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) I'd be interested, but I should warn you that I'm unsure about the ability of an LDraw viewer to sell 145 copies at $.99 each, which is how many would have to sell to recoup the $100. (If I was highly confident of the market, I'd do it all (...) (14 years ago, 20-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) I'd be willing to front the iOS developer fee in partnership with someone, but I really don't want to have to learn how to program... Anyone interested? We could charge a buck for the finished app to get back the developer fee... Paul (14 years ago, 18-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Much faster stl2dat

(...) I notice one of your proposed enhancements is to use Delaunay triangulation. I would recommend Jonathan Richard Shewchuk's triangle library, I used it on txt2dat and it works great. Theres a link at (URL) (14 years ago, 18-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: iPad and Android

(...) It is true that you can download and install the iOS SDK with a free Apple developer account, so you can in theory develop an app without paying any money. However, in order to get the app onto a non-jailbroken iOS device, you have to pay the (...) (14 years ago, 17-Dec-10, to lugnet.cad)
