(...) Naming is not an important issue to me. Either name would be fine for me. The one important thing for me is that it doesn't mess up with renderers and utilities that make primitive substitutions. But I don't see that there should be any risk (...) (...) Not being a part author, I can't comment on the utility, but to me the naming is confusing. The base cylinder primitives are already open at both ends; they just don't have edges there. (...) I think it's a bad idea to have the double-socket parts be named so similarly to the single-socket parts. The double-socket parts are beams with sockets on either end, whereas the single socket parts are sockets with connectors out the (...) (15 years ago, 2-Nov-09, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)
