Re: LDraw.org 2009-02 Parts Update Now Available

(...) I don't understand why you are even commenting on the LDraw0801.exe. This thread is announcing 2009-02. Is the confusion that there is no link to the complete zip archive in this article (URL) ? If you go to (URL) you should see a link to (...) (15 years ago, 16-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw.org 2009-02 Parts Update Now Available

Great! Thanks to all who made this possible. I will present LDraw again at LEGOWORLD comming October, so this is very nice. (15 years ago, 16-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw.org 2009-02 Parts Update Now Available

(...) Why LDraw0801.exe is still an windows only file and not and zip ? I find it hard for us macosx , NIX users to update or to install all ldraw from zero since ldraw is nearly windows only software and badly mantained since it doesn't have an zip (...) (15 years ago, 16-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDraw.org 2009-02 Parts Update Now Available

(...) This is great news! Thank you, Chris for your hard work on the release and Willy and Scott for the work on the configuration file. The library is once again more complete than what it previously was. (15 years ago, 16-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

LDraw.org 2009-02 Parts Update Now Available

The 2009-02 LDraw parts update has been now been released. This update includes 385 files in the core library, including 195 new parts, and many more files updated with improvements for Back Face Culling support. A further 8 parts have been (...) (15 years ago, 16-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad) !!

Re: Mixed Orientation of NXT Sensors in LPub

(...) I'd really appreciate being able to select predefined paper sizes. If eventually people ask for arbitrary sizes you could always include a 'custom' option in which to select the desired size, but I believe that for the average user the (...) (15 years ago, 15-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Mixed Orientation of NXT Sensors in LPub

(...) Until I figure out how to control arbitrary size, I think so. I should just (hah!) change the dialog to only allow the paper sizes. The program is supposed to round up to the next whole paper size, but obviously this doesn't work right, right (...) (15 years ago, 14-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LDraw2BrickLink script

(...) I haven't actually made very much, but here's one made with a beta and ambient lighting: (URL) I made with an alpha that actually ended up getting scrapped: (URL) (15 years ago, 12-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.market.brickshops)

Re: Colors in POV-Ray 3.7 Beta

(...) I also discovered this a while back while working on LD4DStudio 1.1, it's seems weird at first. But the change is really logical when you think about it. They basically moved the gamma correction to the ini/command line because it only applies (...) (15 years ago, 11-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: 64179.dat

(...) Ah!!! interesting ;o) (...) It looks good (but I don't have the part - yet...) Philo (15 years ago, 11-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Colors in POV-Ray 3.7 Beta

If you render LDView's POV output using the POV-Ray 3.7 beta release, you will see that the colors all look washed out. This seems to be due to a difference in the way that POV-Ray 3.7 handles gamma correction. There are two things that you need to (...) (15 years ago, 10-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Mixed Orientation of NXT Sensors in LPub

(...) Does this mean we may get paper formats instead of having to input width & height? Every time I try to make an instruction booklet with LPub I need to look up exactly what size an A4 or A5 is... Jetro (15 years ago, 10-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDView Version 4.1 Beta 1 POV output bug report

(...) I tracked the source of this problem down. As far as I can tell, it's only happening with substituted primitives. Please let me know if you see any duplication of other parts of the model. I have fixed this in my source code, and it will be (...) (15 years ago, 10-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: *** LDView Version 4.1 Beta 1 Released ***

(...) A test render from me. The slopes and wedge at the front use the mesh-smoothing. It works well. (URL) Tim (15 years ago, 10-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Mixed Orientation of NXT Sensors in LPub

(...) Good job in sorting this out (Thanks to Jetro for *the big hint* :^). LPub provides a default orientation for all parts, which does not necessarily provide the same orientation used by LEGO, thus the override for known sensors in LPub's (...) (15 years ago, 10-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: LDView Version 4.1 Beta 1 POV output bug report

(...) Thanks for the bug report. I have a few comments and a question. First of all, it's expected to be quite a bit larger with LGEO disabled, since it has to include the part geometry, while the LGEO version just references LGEO parts for their (...) (15 years ago, 9-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

  64179.dat

Yes, I did state at (URL) that I couldn't model this piece due to my lack of it - but the Front Loader appeared convienently (sp?) in the store and I had all the cash for it, so... now I have modelled the 'O-beam' as well. Enough story-telling: I (...) (15 years ago, 9-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

Re: Mixed Orientation of NXT Sensors in LPub

(...) No worries! Apparently the light sensor and the touch sensor had been overridden in the pli.mpd which caused them to be different from the rest. I like that orientation better so added all the other sensor to that file as well. Works great. I (...) (15 years ago, 9-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Mixed Orientation of NXT Sensors in LPub

(...) Gus, Sorry I missed this. The default orientation of parts in the PLI is based on the orientation of the part as authored. These two sensors parts were defined in different orientations. Jetro is correct. The purpose of pli.mpd is to allow you (...) (15 years ago, 9-Sep-09, to lugnet.cad)
