Re: New LDraw Tool for Parts author: Rulers and Calipers

(tried to answer yesterday, but something got wrong...) (...) You can easily build a slightly shorter span version using common axle 12! (...) Here too, something went wrong. Corrected now! Philo (15 years ago, 25-May-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.technic)

Re: Looking for dimensions of LEGO bricks.

(...) Given that Denmark went fully metric in 1912 and that a 1x1 brick is 8mm x 8mm x 9.6mm (stud exclusive) it seems unlikely that imperial will work out better for you. Although it does so happen that 8mm is quite close to 5/16inch. Tim (15 years ago, 25-May-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: List of keyboard shortcuts

(...) Scratch that. It's in the help file. (15 years ago, 25-May-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Looking for dimensions of LEGO bricks.

(...) IIRC, *real* Lego parts use Imperial units, so converting to/measuring using the metric system will involve lots of decimal places. -Mike (15 years ago, 25-May-09, to lugnet.cad)

  List of keyboard shortcuts

Does anyone have a list of keyboard shortcuts for MLCAD they could upload? Thanks! -Mike (15 years ago, 24-May-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: DATHeader version 2.0.3 for LINUX and MAC

(...) I have just found an error in DATHeader. The test for partdescription at subparts was not correct. Please download the bugfix from (URL) that side I have now also listed all tests that are performed by DATHeader and also the specification on (...)   Re: New LDraw Tool for Parts author: Rulers and Calipers

(...) SNIP (...) *Very* interesting, Philo! I just wish I had the white axle 16. :-( Is it just me, or is the page 4 of the building instructions messed up? (15 years ago, 24-May-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: New LDraw Tool for Parts author: Rulers and Calipers

(...) These tools look very useful! Thanks for sharing the idea and design, Philo. Jim (15 years ago, 24-May-09, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Assembled parts, ~ and categories

It is common practice to prefix parts that compose assembled parts with a ~. This prevent using them needlessly (they are not listed with regular parts), encouraging the use of assembled shortcuts. But this practice is not ratified by any official (...) (15 years ago, 24-May-09, to lugnet.cad)

New LDraw Tool for Parts author: Rulers and Calipers

This time, it is not a software utility, but physical measuring tools... a set of do-it-yourself measuring instruments to get parts dimensions directly in LDraw units. (URL) Acrobat document to print your own rulers and scales, and building (...) (15 years ago, 24-May-09, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.technic, FTX) !
