  Re: Announcing Bricksmith for Macintosh

Dear Joe, I'll write more about your previous (good!) suggestions when I have more time later. For now, I'll point you in the direction of the Tools menu, where you'll find a "Show Colors" selection. You'll notice that the Colors palette tracks (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

(...) Unfortunately, I am very busy right now. Once again, I have to move and it sure takes its toll from my resources. But I'd like to repeat what I've said earlier on creating LDraw based animations. We have LD4D, we have POV-ray's support for (...)   Re: Announcing Bricksmith for Macintosh

(...) It's always nice to see new stuff like this. Especially with the source code available in CVS on the sourceforge site. Cool! (...) Hmm, I don't know, the file looks OK to me. I don't remember any limit on nested MPD subfiles. And I also don't (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, lugnet.cad.dev, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Bricksmith for Macintosh

(...) Yeah, you aren't suppose to distribute the library with your app. The cool shniz would be to have the app auto find the library or download it for you if it can't find it though! The path should never change: (URL) looked at the app yet but (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: MLCAD mirrored submodels - Help please

(...) MLCad usually orient any new part like the one before, so it sounds like you mirrored the previous part accidentally. So you should be able to fix the problem by unmirroring the second last part. If you don't know how, insert the part in top (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

  Re: Announcing Bricksmith for Macintosh

Sorry, two more suggestions: Changing the color of multiple parts appears to be a royal PITA, because the Inspector palette just says "Multiple Selection". Well, yes, I know I have a multiple selection -- I want to inspect it anyway! You could still (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Bricksmith for Macintosh

(...) First, let me say: Great work, Allen! We Mac-using ALEs really appreciate efforts like this. Initial impressions: Wow -- an LDraw editor that I can just download and use! I didn't have to install anything extra or futz about with paths; I just (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

Re: My humble opinion about LDraw animation

(...) I mostly agree with James (use POV-Ray for animations), but I'll throw my 2 cents in anyway ... It seems like an LDraw-based animation format is reasonably possible, with the following requirements/additions: - Use MPD format. This isn't (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Announcing Bricksmith for Macintosh

(...) Only 6 months! You certainly have worked really hard! Congratulations :) I don't own a MAC but it's always good news when LDraw is lesser and lesser confined to the Microsoft world. Anyway i have seen the pretty screenshot, downloaded the (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

  Re: LDD Help Needed

(...) Not that I know of. You can rotate the whole model and then use PgUp/PgDn to jiggle the piece you need to move - then rotate the whole thing back. Obviously, this is a pain when working with a model of any real size. (...) I'm not sure quite (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  LDD Help Needed

I just started playing around with Lego Digital Designer a couple of days ago and had a few questions. I am having trouble placing a part in my model. I have found how to use the PgUp/PgDn keys to move a piece along the z-axis, but is there a way to (...) (19 years ago, 24-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad)

MLCAD mirrored submodels - Help please

I've recently started using MLCAD v3.2 and assembling 8862. I've been using sub-models sucessfully, but came to add a fourth and found that when the parts are in the main model they are mirrored from what I drew in the submodel. It is the same in (...)
