(...) BlockCAD (see sig.) has snapping. In fact it's impossible to put parts inside each other there. OTOH, BlockCAD has many other limitations (studs up only, 90 degrees turning only, limited part library) so it's usability depends on what you are (...) (20 years ago, 9-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

I've been working on model 8872, the forklift transport and I've again found some parts that do not convert the right way from Ldraw to LGEO: part: 6536.dat / Technic Axle Joiner Perpendicular is rotated 90 degrees part: 2905.dat / Technic Triangle (...) (20 years ago, 9-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Good Idea. That's also my opinion. There should be a break with the backward compatibility. That would solve many Problems with the old DOS-Program. And it would be easier to generate new standards. CU Bernd (20 years ago, 9-Oct-04, to lugnet.cad)
