  Re: [Parts Tracker] Moving/Renumbering Parts

(...) I wish my part 2408p03 is renumbered 2408p04 and renamed "Panel 10 x 6 x 11 with Futuron Stripes Pattern". This would equal the number and name at brickbay.com which can't be a bad thing. Damien (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New Ldraw animation with Pov-Ray

Hello Bram, (...) Wow... ;). He should do these parts for LDraw, especially the textures. Oh .. it would be too cool if you could use REAL textures in LDraw. Life would be so much easier and many more patterned parts would be created easily. (...) I (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)

  [Parts Tracker] Moving/Renumbering Parts

Authors, If you see a file that needs to be renumbered, just send me an email. Or post a message here (in lugnet.cad.dev), and I'll see it. The tools I've got for renumbering are smart enough to create ~Moved to files only when necessary, and to (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New Part: Space Shuttle Engine Part#30353

Hello Joseph, Very impressive part. I agree that you should split the parts. One more comment: Change part color to number 16 so the user can make it their own color.   RE: New Ldraw animation with Pov-Ray

(...) Anton Raves was making LEGO renderings before Lars made L3P, and even before Lutz made L2P, so I'd say I'm pretty certain he made them all in POV-Ray :) You'll notice that he uses a different coordinate system, a different scale, and a (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)

Hello Imre, "Imre Papp" <ipapp@geometria.hu> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:GnEp5s.HFy@lugnet.com... (...) This looks very very nice. I finally found a way too to make the glassy parts really glow ;). So i will re-render my scene and maybe add some (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: New Ldraw animation with Pov-Ray

Hello, i just looked at Anton Raves page ( (URL) )and I am wondering if he made these parts hisself. I bet he used LDraw/L3P-basics for almost all parts and then optimized them by adding the related textures and so on. I would be a huge task to do (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New Part: Space Shuttle Engine Part#30353

(...) [LDraw code snipped] Looks good. Just a couple of admin points: 1. This part should be split into several files. At least, there should be three files: the main box, the battery cover, and the buttons. Then have a fourth file that combines the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: New Part: domeps1.dat - Technic Dome 6 x 6 x 5 2/3 (R2D2 with PATTERN)

(...) Wow, looks nice! One suggestion, which you've probably thought about: use smaller facets on the curved bits. For something this large, I'd use at least 48-segment circles (ie, facets that are 7.5 degrees). It should be possible to project the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: LDraw Add-On 2.1.5 Now Available

(...) Yeah, I parted ways with @Home. I'm working on getting a new, permanent ISP. Until then, the Geocities cite is as 'official' as it gets for LDAO. (URL) let y'all know when the situation changes. :) Steve (23 years ago, 26-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad)
