  Re: Star Wars Battle droids

(...) Dennis, I did the Battle Droid from the Droid Developers Kit: (URL) can send on the .dat file if you want it. I know you are probably looking at doing set 8001, and not 9748. D :-) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Star Wars Battle droids

Has anyone modeled the Star Wars battle droids? Please let me know if it has already been done. Dennis (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad)

Need part number 1x2 tile with dynamite pattern

I need the part number for the 1x2 tile with dynamite pattern. The number will be 3069p something. All that is printed on the part is the 3069 number. Thanks, Dennis (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Need part number for a dangerous predator

(...) Thanks! The cat looks much better with the conditional edge lines. (...) That's a good idea for a LDraw tool! I generally find that edge lines are fairly difficult to handle, so I reckon other people will enjoy the idea as well. Fredrik (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Need part number for a dangerous predator  [DAT]

(...) Thanks. I hadn't considered conditional edge lines before (this being my first part, it never crossed my mind; I'm still fairly new to Ldraw and MLcad), but I liked the idea of putting them in. Here's the file with edge lines. I didn't do this (...) (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Rhino size settings

In case anyone out there uses Rhino and want to model parts here's the rough specs: 20 Rhino units = 1 Lego width (i.e. the width of a 1x1 block) 24 Rhino units = 1 Lego height 12 Rhino units = 1 stud diameter 4 Rhino units = 1 stud hieght (24 years ago, 27-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Has anyone made the wheels as seen in 5920

(...) I made the wheel for this model: (URL) was also another person who posted a different version of the same wheel in the cad.parts group fairly recently, so I didn't bother to register my part in the tracker. Fredrik (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Bendible Objects?

(...) Thanks! I'd say, though, that the instruction on my site are probably aimed at the wrong crowd. I should probably rewrite it all with users who are new to Emacs in mind.   Re: Has anyone made the wheels as seen in 5920

(...) awhile ago? Or maybe it was Fredrick... It seems like maybe the file wasn't posted on lugnet for some reason, so you might have to search for messages talking about the part, and see if you can get a link offsite. Steve (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Bendible Objects?

I highly recommend Fredrik's LDraw-Mode. It will take you a little while to find the Emacs stuff and install it, plus some time to figure out how to bend stuff. But once you make the initial investment it is very easy to create wonderful curving (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
