MOTM voting irregularities - Florida all over again?

Hi all, OK, listen up. This message is for a small percentage of people out there. Voting more than once for a model does not work. All IP addresses are logged and it is easy to spot duplicates. Duplicates are deducted from the score. Easy to spot, (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: December 2000 LDraw MOTM competition

(...) Jeez Jeff, where have you been for the last month? Haven't you at least heard about the Debacle (or should I say Travesty? Farce?) in Florida? The year 2000 may well be known to future generations as the year of the chad. Sad, isn't it? -- (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: Light trans blue in MLCAD comes out as trans dark-blue in POV-RAY

Thanks for posting this Bram. How would I use this? (Assuming I am using MLCAD, l3p, and then POV-RAY)? Is there a way to make it a global include for POV-RAY? If I have to keep manually including it, that would be kind of annoying. I guess I could (...) (24 years ago, 28-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: bend thingie creator.

(...) Sorry, I explained myself poorly, I divide the curve in segments with only 2 points each. Bezier and Hermite curves are very similar, but I don't use Bezier curves because the control points are not very user-friendly, I'd rather have tangents (...)   Re: LDLite center offset problem?

(...) It was probably Jeremy Sproat who did this interface, if my memory serves. He is apparently not active on LUGNET now. I don't have an environment for compiling programs under Windows myself, so I cannot make the needed changes to the source (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Wires anyone?

(...) Yes, I totally agree. The subject of using multiple control points for flexible elements has been discussed here recently. However, I think that the multiple control points approach is best suited interactive CAD-like applications. It would be (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

RE: Light trans blue in MLCAD comes out as trans dark-blue in POV-RAY

(...) I've hacked together an include file which uses Anton Raves colors for the most part, which is closer to the real LEGO spectrum. It doesn't include all the colors (I add them as I need them), but you can get a copy here: (URL) Lambrecht (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

"Fredrik Glöckner" <fredrik.glockner@bio.uio.no> wrote in message news:qrdzoisnwp0.fsf....uio.no... (...) I got the wire function to work, but I have a suggestion. It would be nice to be able to add control points to shape the wire differently, in (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Renderers that poll for changes?

(...) I think you are mistaken ! Memory Manager in Win3.1 is pretty much Brain Dead, after an hour or two of usage, it starts swaping memory to disk like crazy, because it does not regrup the deallocated memory. Trust me it's worth the change. I (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Light trans blue in MLCAD comes out as trans dark-blue in POV-RAY

(...) Didn't someone mention an include color file for POV that more accurately portrays the LEGO spectrum? Perhaps this might allay some issues. J (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)
