Hey guys,

It looks good!  Thanks for linking <http://www.vignettebricks.blogspot.com/

Thanks, and no problem!

Pics.  You've probably already got this in mind, but I like how some of the
sidebars (e.g. space, castle, adventurers) feature a thumbnail of a recently
posted MOC, that rotates on a relatively regular basis.

Done and done!  I was just about to code the sidebar when your post popped up!

FAQ.  I suppose I'm old fashioned ;), but in my day we thought of vignettes
as being squares 8x8 or smaller.  Your size chart includes sizes and shapes
that I would personally not call vignettes.

Galleries.  It's cool how many you found.  I'll have to go through these in
depth as I think there are some I've not seen before.  I could probably help
you replace some of the brickshelf id's with real names if you'd like.

Searches of "vig", "vigs", "vignettes", and "vignette" on LUGNET, CC, FBTB,
Brickshelf and others revealed a ton more than I expected.  Mwhahaha...we're
taking over the world!

And it would be a great help if you provided actual names.  Thanks!

Timeline.  I don't mean to sound overly partisan, and I suspsect that maybe
you were both trying to go out of your way to not sound partisan, but I would
think it's important to note that my initial vignette posting really sparked
other vignette builders on Classic-Castle first, then this spread to FBTB.
It was really only after that that vignettes took a stronger hold here on
Lugnet. Perhaps I would change "A series of subsequent vignettes are posted."
to "A series of subsequent vignettes are posted on Lugnet and in other AFOL
forums, including Classic-Castle and FBTB." Also, in the pre-history, there
were other vignettes outside of the Japanese AFOL community.  In particular,
I found pics of great trophies created for the Space room at one of the
Brickfests, including <http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=95373
this one> by Aaron Sneary.  Frustratingly, Brickshelf is up and down right
now, so I can't find the others.  >:(  Also in the prehistory, as you note in
the FAQ, the official SW storyteller sets were technically vignettes, albeit
particularly lame and lifeless ones, IMO.

In addition to my blog, I would also include
<http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=vignette&stype=fi> in the
links page with the title "vignettes on Brickshelf" or something.

Thanks a lot for the comments, Bruce!
