Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) Oups :-) Misread that one! I apologize, you are correct. I read Brickshelf or Lunet, no other website. My bad on this one... It is nitpicky, I know it's not fun either to see someone do that, but I believe that if no one does it, then it's (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) I think you are misunderstanding Ryan's post. "The pillars extend 3 studs out from the base" - meaning: each pillar extends three studs out. And whether the vig fits with the rule ("3.Your vignette must have a maximum base-size of 8x8 (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

In lugnet.build.vignette, Terry Prosper wrote: major snip (...) more snip I just have to jump in here with a nitpick of this nitpicky post. What's the problem here? The rule you quote says that images must be hosted 'on brickshelf OR OTHER (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Jedi Temple

(...) While looking at the vignettes, I noticed that the Jedi Temple vignette extended by a lot more than 4 studs in width. 3 on each side makes 6, not 4. Was 4 studs a limit for the total or for each side? Here's the rule: 3. Your vignette must (...) (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette)

Re: Joe Vig Contest Entry - Joe and Jonesy

--SNIP-- Hi Tony, You've really captured the 'unfolding' motion of the Alien (or should it be Xenomorph for this film?) brilliantly. Its by far the best minifig scale Alien I've seen. I don't fancy being in Joe's shoes at all. Your, Tim (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Awesome work, Alien is one of my favorite films. Great greeblies there with the chain, boxes and machinery. I like the creepy way the Alien blends into all those details, Joe looks allot like Brett with that expression and hat. Good work. (19 years ago, 17-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Waltzing Matilda Vignette

(...) Yes, I agree. It would be great to see it in the brick. (...) Also of note is the fact that there are at least 2 variations of the tune - the commonly known version, which Olympics watchers probably heard a few times, and the one I prefer, (...)   Re: Waltzing Matilda Vignette

(...) Hi Anita, Thanks for the comment. I was thinking about continuing the song, or at least the fun bits. Depends on my inspiration levels. This one grew out of a desire to build some Australian trees. As to the words: I think you'll find the (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Waltzing Matilda Vignette

(...) Very cool idea for a vignette and well carried out. It expresses the feeling and atmosphere of the song really well, the beginning is peaceful and this is really well reflected in your vignette. I would love to see a series of vignettes for (...)   Waltzing Matilda Vignette

Hi all, Here is my first attempt at a vignette. It is a recreation of the first two lines of the famous Australian (URL) Waltzing Matilda by Banjo Patterson. For those who don't know: a swagman is a sort of rural itinerant and a billabong is a (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jul-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.loc.au, FTX)
