  Re: Captain Lucky

(...) I was thinking the same thing and was picturing the MOC with this: (URL) Nice work Richie. Love the title. (16 years ago, 7-Mar-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Captain Lucky

(...) Very good! All that's missing is a pair of eyepatches for the good Cap'n. (Those chinstrap heads are vool for soldiers - I'm contemplating converting all my troops...) Cheers Richie Dulin (16 years ago, 7-Mar-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Captain Lucky

It's been awhile since I made a vignette. I found a new use for those Rebel minifig heads today: (URL) "Big Daddy" Nelson (16 years ago, 7-Mar-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

Three MOCs - space, trains and a vignette

...although only two are actually new. Estonian Hopper (URL) Well this one isn't new but I've finally taken photos of my old Estonian hopper design. Seven-wide and mixing new and old brown. Street Fashion (URL) My attempt at capturing the (...) (16 years ago, 19-Feb-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.trains, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Ley Ward Vignette series

Because of some serious time restrictions I decided to get small (as Steve Martin once said) for a while. I think it's a mixed bag of vigs, but it was fun building some tiny tributes to our own Ley Ward (aka Professor Whateverly), and definetly an (...)   Re: Sheldon Brown (1944 - 2008)

(...) Ah yes. There's nothing quite as funny as a good April fools joke. Sheldon's were among the best. (...) Thanks for the feedback, and for the spotlight. Cheers Richie Dulin (16 years ago, 8-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Sheldon Brown (1944 - 2008)

(...) He will be missed, especially his April Fools posts. A fittingly simple vignette. Very touching. Spotlighted. (16 years ago, 8-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Sheldon Brown (1944 - 2008)

(URL) The cyclist is gone, but the cycle remains. (URL) Sheldon Brown> 1944 - 2008. To the cycling community he was a leader, a hero and a guru. And a little eccentric. I take my cycling helmet off to him. Richie Dulin (16 years ago, 7-Feb-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX) !

  Re: Edmund Hillary, 1919-2008

(...) Dang. Thanks for this, I hadn't heard. It's a nice simple vig, to remember a nice, simple man who once stood somewhere extraordinary. My son once made a vig of the ridge with Mallory's body partially buried beneath it, and the ice axe just (...) (16 years ago, 11-Jan-08, to lugnet.build.vignette)

  Re: Edmund Hillary, 1919-2008

  Edmund Hillary, 1919-2008

May 29, 1953.... (URL) A vig hardly sums him up... but is a way to mark his passing. Richie Dulin (16 years ago, 11-Jan-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX) !!

  Re: Keeping Your Priorities Straight!

(...) hehe. I got the set for Christmas and after a brief period helping my kids build their sets, tore into this one. Showed this to my wife yesterday and she thought it was brilliant. She also commented that my Lego building hadn't quite got to (...) (16 years ago, 9-Jan-08, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Wedding Card Vignettes

(...) What a thoughtful friend, and maybe an AFOL in the making, they did an outstanding job. Janey "Red Brick" (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Wedding Card Vignettes

(...) That was a very special gift. You have nice friends. Thanks for sharing. (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Wedding Card Vignettes

(...) Hi Roy, very nice indeed - although it implies certain expectations from your wedding barbecue (if I look at the flame-grilled "bird" ;) ) - it's apparently never wrong to have a fireman in the family... Also shows a couple of interesting (...) (17 years ago, 18-Dec-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Wedding Card Vignettes

When my wife & I got married in 2006, one of our friends, who was aware of my AFOLness, gave us a fantastic, homemade card featuring two vignettes related to our hobbies. My wife loves to cook (URL) and I was a volunteer firefighter (URL) The cover (...) (17 years ago, 18-Dec-07, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.vignette, FTX) !

(...) John, That's great! Considering I had a girlfriend who had a hard time accepting my second job working for LEGO.... Scott Lyttle (17 years ago, 6-Nov-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Keeping Your Priorities Straight!

John - this was inspirational, clever, and gosh-darned hilarious. Heading off to the Lego room now. Spotlighted! (17 years ago, 8-Nov-07, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: Keeping Your Priorities Straight!

(...) Though I am loathe to say the "C" word, in this case it is OK. This vig is just darn cute. Though my ideal situation is to enjoy both a UCS Falcon AND a significant other in a Slave Leia outfit. Its like having yer cake and eating it too, and (...)
