I finally finished building a globe from my
plans.
I built three panels using the revised plans with 1
2434 (Brick, Modified 2 x 4 x 2
with Studs on Sides) piece in each side.. Then I tried putting the three
panels together. I found that they didn’t hold together well enough. So I
redesigned the remaining three panels with 2
2434 pieces in each side. The
final panel I redesigned again after running out of green 1x3 pieces and green
1x6 pieces. I’ll post updated plans as soon as I polish them.
It’s bigger than I had expected.

I’m impressed with the calculations you did there. Maybe someone will
build physical model based on these instructions and then one day we can
get my globe together with that one and see how close I was to reality
