  Re: Hats off to Jake!

(...) I too, say thank you. I'm hoping there will be several new sculpture kits introduced this year. There are only 5 sculpture kits currently for sale at S@H (in the US anyhow). With the Statue of Libery, Mini Figure, and several others selling (...) (20 years ago, 22-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: The Most Powerful Jedi Ever

(...) I never received any reply posts in lugnet.starwars so I will try to get some feedback from build.sculpture. Thanks (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) larger than mine. I did see the megabloks one, and I thought that was was a bit too bulky looking FWIW.. (...) Heh. :) I'm sure my dad (who is a major Snoopy fan) would love it. He wanted to know if I could build him one, so it looks like I'm (...) (20 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) Very stable. It's weighted in the back because the head is naturally nose-heavy. I made sure of that, because I build the head first. My brickshelf folder has some build pics if you're interested: (URL) Did you use a 4x4 turntable there as (...) (20 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) Thanks :) The problem I had originally building the head was making the eyes visible from the front view as well as the profile. Hinges are wonderful to build with :) -Anne (20 years ago, 29-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) Brilliant! I love the hinges for the eyes. Great work! Chris Perron (2 URLs) (20 years ago, 18-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) Nice Work Anne! Have you seen this at Brickshelf? (URL) who's going to do the "Sopwith Camel" and Snoopy and the Red Baron? Hm.... :-) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Good Grief! It's Snoopy

(...) Nicely done. I like the use of hinges for the eyes. How stable is the head? Did you use a 4x4 turntable there as well? Just an idea, would tiles on the top part of his collar help keep the head stable? Now you need his red dog house to go (...) (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Candle

(...) Eddy, this is really neat! You sould crosspost this stuff to lugnet.build.sculpture, even though it's animated. I love it :), very innovative. (20 years ago, 17-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Good Grief! It's Snoopy

Finally, I did something for 2004. :) I have been working on a Snoopy sculpture. This is the "base" model, as I have to build a bride and groom Snoopy (let's not get into the logistics of this) for a friend's wedding. I needed something to work (...) (...) Merry Christmas, -Brendan (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Candle

(...) Hi Larry - check out his related readme here: (URL) apparently written a Linux based image generator. Ed (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Candle

(...) That's a really nice animation! and it doesn't weigh very much for what you get. Tell us how you animated it... just a bunch of separate renders that you then stitched together or did you use POV or ? FWIW the announcement probably should have (...)   Re: Taz

(...) Yes sir, you are correct! I was talking about the turntable, and none were available on bricklink. Although I think a few have made it into the hands of the general public. Not mine unfortunately! Bill (20 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Taz

(...) I agree. (with the "have no idea" part anyway! :-) ) I think Bill is talking about turntables as he said: (...) I would guess he means in particular this part: (URL) in brown. (20 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Taz

(URL) made in brown? Not available to general public? Bricklink has 55 lots available for sale mate. ;-) I have no idea what people are talking about, really! :-D Cheers ...   Re: Taz

(...) Thanks for the comments! In the prototype I used 2 black 2x2 turntable plates. But since that part isn't made in brown (for the general public anyway), I used a well placed jumper with 1x2 tiles next to it for extra support. Then I was able to (...)   Re: Taz

(...) That's a great rendition of Taz in brick! Just curious; did you use this part: (URL) at the ankles to get the feet at the right rotation? (20 years ago, 13-Dec-04, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Santa Claus Bust

(...) Thanks! (...) I actually started with the shoulders. I knew I wanted somewhat rounded shoulders and the beard full and curved out. I laid down some 2x4s to judge the width of the shoulders, I kept moving them out until it felt right. I built (...) (20 years ago, 11-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: Santa Claus Bust

(...) Very creative and original! I like the way you've added a lot of your own personal touch instead of modeling a generic Santa. It's very cute, and cute is hard to pull off in LEGO. Great job! As another perspective, I made a Santa bust last (...) (20 years ago, 11-Dec-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
