The hairs on the top of his head are two black technic hose pieces... they look sort of like this, but longer:


The hairs on the side of his head are just 1x6 plates joined end-to-end and bent into an M-shaped zig-zag. There’s an “M” attached at 90 degrees on each side of his head and two more attached in the back at 45 degrees.

   Doh! I would have never been able to make something this big, my husband already has issues with my 2 foot tall projects :)

Yeah, Homer pretty much dominated all of the free space in my 1 bedroom apartment while I was working on him. :)
