    LEGO Koinobori —Henry Lim
I've got an overabundance of 1x2 bricks. So I used some to make a koinobori (carp wind streamer): (URL) Month of May -Henry (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture) !!

        Re: LEGO Koinobori —Judy Miller
I like it! The simple repetition of the fin pattern is very effective. Although this isn't strictly a sculpture of a fish, it reminds me of an idea I had-- that fish would be a good theme for (say) a Brickfest workshop on "how to design and build (...)      (...) though. Maybe switch the white for red, the blue for yellow, and the grey for green or possibly tan. What I'd really like to see, though, is a similar sculpture modeled after an eastern dragon. I do have a few questions though. How many bricks (...)      (...) 36 1x2 bricks per circumference. It seemed the right size, and happened to connect--not without some fussing, though. -Henry (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

        Re: LEGO Koinobori —Anne Carasik
Coolness! Can you please bring it to the LUGOLA meeting? We'll have table-space for you :) -Anne (...) (21 years ago, 18-May-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(...) Wow the 'pixilation' of color seems to have been done perfectly! Jeff (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

        Re: LEGO Koinobori —Ryan Rubino
(...) A stunning use of xtra 1x2 bricks! The complex repeated pattern is very pleasing and those fins are a great bonus! I wish I could make something half as interesting with the overabundant parts in my collection. (21 years ago, 19-May-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: LEGO Koinobori —Jason J. Railton
(...) That's great. I didn't know 1x2 bricks could flex that much. How many are there around each layer, and what is the diameter? Jason Railton (21 years ago, 20-May-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
