Re: New Mosaic: Map of the USA

That is absolutely stunning. This is the coolest thing I've seen so far this year, lego or otherwise. Great idea for a subject matter too - cool and functional. It'll be interesting to see the map after everyone's stuck their dots on. Eagerly (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.events.brickswest, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: New Mosaic: Map of the USA

(...) Well sure, but we're only 12 days into the year, so that's not saying much. (...) Yeah, me too. Too bad the internationals aren't recognized, but a world map would be, well, monstrous. (...) Reminds me, I forgot to dot Cleveland with the first (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.events.brickswest, lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: New Mosaic: Map of the USA

(...) Very nice, but some of the internationals beat you to it.   Re: New Mosaic: Map of the USA

(...) I have tried both methods, and found the stacked dots don't photograph too well, and are more prone to becoming dislodged. (...) Subconscious inspiration. Thought as much. The two are different enough in style that they could have been (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: New Mosaic: Map of the USA

(...) Great. Then we just need to convince ITLUG, PLUG, rtlToronto, LegOz and any other non US Lugs to build their own maps. Then we should have a world of bricks. (...) Adrian's is indeed impressive, and no doubt it's sturdier than mine being a (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(...) rtlToronto can easily use the US map as well, The southern Half of Ontario is located below the 49th Parallel, and is very visible on the map. (the big White area) Jeff VW (...) (22 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
