| I built in a few technic beams with the idea of using pins. However, the pins alone would not supported the 40+ pounds of LEGO above it, so the pillar was necessary. IN the end, I forewent the use of the pins since they were a pain to line up (...) (22 years ago, 25-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
