Re: Two more mathematical sculptures (I have no life)

(...) Thanks for the comments! I enjoy doing these surfaces partly because Lego is 'obviously' the wrong medium. I mean, it's rectangular bricks, right? So making thin curved surfaces is a way of pushing the limits. (...) Yes, I've bought up a (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Two more mathematical sculptures (I have no life)

Hi Andrew I must say I like your creations alot. It is fantastic what you can do with only 1x brick. I must try to recreate some of your new ones. Thanks for making dat-files available.   Two more mathematical sculptures (I have no life)

Two more mathematical sculptures have appeared at (URL) Scherk's surface and a Bour's surface. The latter is the biggest and most elaborate yet, and kept me busy for quite a while. LMKWYT, Andrew (22 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.build) !!

A new mathematical Lego sculptures and another URL change

I've made another mathematical lego sculpture. This time it's a Costa surface. This was probably the trickiest yet. LMKWYT. This provides me with an excuse to announce another website change.   3450 back on LSAH!!!

I'm not any lego employee but I found this while on LSAH online and jumped with glee. I always wanted to get one and then it was gone. Not any more!!!   Re: Question about making sculptures

(...) I would suggest that you start by practicing curved shapes using only regular bricks. Try making circles of different diameters, and once you have that mastered, try to make a sphere (ball) shape. I think that this is the most important skill (...)   Question about making sculptures

Ello NG I'm a 13 years old boy, who wanna make lego sculptures, but i have 2 questions before i spend my money buying bricks: 1. Is there any guides how to make Legosculptures, or should i just try and then, maybe, be better with the time? 2. Is it (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: new bio-MOCS (fish & phoenix)

(...) The fish is very nice, but the pheonix ROCKS! I mean, the craftsmanship is great and all, but the comedy of the pose is wonderful. Very well thought out! Matt (23 years ago, 13-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  new bio-MOCS (fish & phoenix)

I'd been wanting to do a phoenix for quite a while, and I finally got around to it. I had thought a phoenix would be quite regal and magnificent-looking, but as things turned out... well, you can see for yourselves. There's also a striped fish from (...)   Eyeball MOC

Hi all, I completed my first sculpture after doing my Olympic Rings mosaic. It is an eyeball. I'm fairly happy with it, as making spheres proved harder than I anticipated. The "top" of the eye, near the iris is a bit too flat, but oh well. Chalk it (...) (23 years ago, 7-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
