Two more mathematical sculptures (I have no life)

Two more mathematical sculptures have appeared at (URL) Scherk's surface and a Bour's surface. The latter is the biggest and most elaborate yet, and kept me busy for quite a while. LMKWYT, Andrew (23 years ago, 14-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.build) !!

Re: A new mathematical Lego sculptures and another URL change

(...) ... (...) You're quite right - I was being lazy. I've added a few links to the Costa Surface page and I'll start adding them to the other pages too. (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

A new mathematical Lego sculptures and another URL change

I've made another mathematical lego sculpture. This time it's a Costa surface. This was probably the trickiest yet. LMKWYT. This provides me with an excuse to announce another website change. Too much noise on my phone line and my phone provider (...) (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture)

  3450 back on LSAH!!!

I'm not any lego employee but I found this while on LSAH online and jumped with glee. I always wanted to get one and then it was gone. Not any more!!! It does say preorder for shipment in June but oh well. At least we can get it at all. :-) (URL) (...)   Re: Question about making sculptures

(...) I would suggest that you start by practicing curved shapes using only regular bricks. Try making circles of different diameters, and once you have that mastered, try to make a sphere (ball) shape. I think that this is the most important skill (...)   Question about making sculptures

Ello NG I'm a 13 years old boy, who wanna make lego sculptures, but i have 2 questions before i spend my money buying bricks: 1. Is there any guides how to make Legosculptures, or should i just try and then, maybe, be better with the time? 2. Is it (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: new bio-MOCS (fish & phoenix)

(...) The fish is very nice, but the pheonix ROCKS! I mean, the craftsmanship is great and all, but the comedy of the pose is wonderful. Very well thought out! Matt (23 years ago, 13-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  new bio-MOCS (fish & phoenix)

I'd been wanting to do a phoenix for quite a while, and I finally got around to it. I had thought a phoenix would be quite regal and magnificent-looking, but as things turned out... well, you can see for yourselves. There's also a striped fish from (...)   Eyeball MOC

Hi all, I completed my first sculpture after doing my Olympic Rings mosaic. It is an eyeball. I'm fairly happy with it, as making spheres proved harder than I anticipated. The "top" of the eye, near the iris is a bit too flat, but oh well. Chalk it (...) (23 years ago, 7-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(...) Thanks! I appreciate that. --Bill. We missed you at BricksWest, by the way. I hope you can make it next year... I almost didn't make it due to financial reasons, but managed to get a ride and arrange to share a campsite to keep costs down. But (...) (23 years ago, 25-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  New Sculpture MOC: Teddy Bear

It's been a while since I've completed a sculpture, and though I debuted this at BricksWest, I am only uploading it to the web for the first time now. This is a completely original design, not based on anybody else's intellectual property (unlike (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.build) !

  Re: Sculpture/Mosiac: 2002 Olympic Games

(...) Thanks Bill. The rings were definitely the hardest part; I fiddled around in Paint for about a half hour doing pixel-by-pixel testing. It helped immensely. -Chris (23 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Sculpture/Mosiac: 2002 Olympic Games

(...) Very nice! I hope the IOC doesn't complain about your use of their logo though. I really like the way you did the interlocking rings. --Bill. (23 years ago, 23-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
