  Re: Question about making sculptures

(...) I would suggest that you start by practicing curved shapes using only regular bricks. Try making circles of different diameters, and once you have that mastered, try to make a sphere (ball) shape. I think that this is the most important skill (...)   Question about making sculptures

Ello NG I'm a 13 years old boy, who wanna make lego sculptures, but i have 2 questions before i spend my money buying bricks: 1. Is there any guides how to make Legosculptures, or should i just try and then, maybe, be better with the time? 2. Is it (...) (23 years ago, 18-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: new bio-MOCS (fish & phoenix)

(...) The fish is very nice, but the pheonix ROCKS! I mean, the craftsmanship is great and all, but the comedy of the pose is wonderful. Very well thought out! Matt (23 years ago, 13-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  new bio-MOCS (fish & phoenix)

I'd been wanting to do a phoenix for quite a while, and I finally got around to it. I had thought a phoenix would be quite regal and magnificent-looking, but as things turned out... well, you can see for yourselves. There's also a striped fish from (...)   Eyeball MOC

Hi all, I completed my first sculpture after doing my Olympic Rings mosaic. It is an eyeball. I'm fairly happy with it, as making spheres proved harder than I anticipated. The "top" of the eye, near the iris is a bit too flat, but oh well. Chalk it (...) (23 years ago, 7-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

I almost didn't make it due to financial reasons, but managed to get a ride and arrange to share a campsite to keep costs down. But (...) (23 years ago, 25-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  New Sculpture MOC: Teddy Bear

It's been a while since I've completed a sculpture, and though I debuted this at BricksWest, I am only uploading it to the web for the first time now.   Re: Sculpture/Mosiac: 2002 Olympic Games

(...) Thanks Bill. The rings were definitely the hardest part; I fiddled around in Paint for about a half hour doing pixel-by-pixel testing. It helped immensely. -Chris (23 years ago, 24-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Sculpture/Mosiac: 2002 Olympic Games

(...) Very nice! I hope the IOC doesn't complain about your use of their logo though. I really like the way you did the interlocking rings. --Bill. (23 years ago, 23-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Sculpture/Mosiac: 2002 Olympic Games

Hi all, The Olympics gave me an idea for a simple yet nifty concept. So, after about an hour and a half of building, I got this: (URL) last night. It's all bricks; built on a 48x48 baseplate. The white background is one brick tall, and the rings and (...) (23 years ago, 23-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc)
