  Re: Christmas Wrath

(...) This door contest is always an outrage. We never win. So I am usually very angry. My wrath will smash my wreath. Akos (17 years ago, 11-Dec-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX) !

  Re: Christmas Wrath

(...) Nice work, Akos, although I must tell you that you created an unintentional funny. "Wrath" in English means "anger" or "outrage", and coupled with "Christmas" I thought that it would be some gruesome holiday scene:-) The correct spelling is (...)   Re: Snowflake!

(...) Simple, lovely, and a classy holiday decoration. I would give it 5 stars, if I wasnt covered in that horrid white stuff, wink. Great experiment Nelson. Janey "Winter Wonderland Blues, Red Brick" (17 years ago, 7-Dec-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: Post for David Winkler... The Stanford Bunny!!

  Snot globes of radius 18-48

A while back I posted plans for a Lambrecht globe of radius 48. It was cool, but required ~6000 pieces and took a week to build. Designing it had involved some hand-coded values and hand tweaking. Now I have posted buildable plans for Lambrecht (...) (17 years ago, 23-Nov-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

LSculpt update - Mac version available!

Jim Devona has kindly compiled LSculpt for Macintosh. It's a universal build, so it should work on Intel and PPC computers. I've also added a little more text to the HELP file and fixed a couple bugs. LSculpt is available at (URL) Here are a couple (...)   Re: Scaling up Sculpture

(...) Exactly. 2x6 and 2x8 bricks become very important. Not to mention 1xn, n>=6. (17 years ago, 21-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Scaling up Sculpture

(...) Does this mean that if there is a 1x1 brick you would need to make it 3x3x3? A 2x4 brick would be 6x12? I have often wondered about this as I have heard that Lego builders do this. So if you have a 1x2 half overhanging without support on the (...) (17 years ago, 21-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Scaling up Sculpture

(...) I was hoping to smooth out some of that blockiness. It'll still look like it's made from Lego pieces, I'm sure. I guess I'll just have to build it and see. Thanks for the info. (17 years ago, 21-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Scaling up Sculpture

(...) The folks at Legoland usually just scale models exactly. So each brick becomes 3 bricks high, each plate becomes 1 brick high, and each stud becomes a 3x3 square of studs. The end result will be just as blocky as the original, so it will be (...) (17 years ago, 21-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Scaling up Sculpture

Does anybody have experience scaling up a sculpture? I have a MLCad model of Yoda- the Target exclusive. I'd like to build that at 3x scale. I can see how to do it- but I'd appreciate any practical advice. As for parts- I'm sorting those out now. I (...) (17 years ago, 21-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
