Lifesize human sculptures for Space Gallery

(2 URLs) I've been a haven't posted much to Lugnet recently, but I've been busy. I think it's worth the wait... I did three large pieces for (URL) Space Gallery> in downtown Seattle. They will be on display for the month of June 2006. -(URL) David (...) (18 years ago, 30-May-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX) !!

  Seahorse Sculpture

(2 URLs) Kinda funny what gets us inspired. I've been working on a sea mosiac for a commission, and this is something I wanted to do for myself. I'm thinking about adding some coral around him, and making more of an ocean scene. LMKWYT! :) -Anne (19 years ago, 26-May-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX) !!

Large-scale promo sculpture of Viking minifig

I found this on BrickShelf from someone's coverage of LEGOWORLD 2005. Looks like an official LEGO Master Builder put together this sculpture of a viking minifig as a promotion for the new line of sets. (URL) the image for an even larger version) (...)   Re: 3 life-size human busts built for Herman Miller "See magazine"

(...) I'd actually tend to agree :) I worked from a profile photo of a real woman... in the photo she was heavily made up (eyeliner, lipstick, etc), and it wasn't until well after I was a ways into the model that I stepped back and realized how (...)   Re: 3 life-size human busts built for Herman Miller "See magazine"

(...) Hey Sean! Pretty nice work! Although I have to say the red one looked like a guy with a ponytail and a moustache. I was pretty surprised it was supposed to be a woman! Still, nice work! Bill Vollbrecht <www.brickcreations.com> (19 years ago, 3-May-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

3 life-size human busts built for Herman Miller "See magazine"

Hi again, everybody! Back in February I was asked to build three life-size monochromatic human busts. They were included in Herman Miller's award-winning design magazine, "SEE", alongside an article about the humanization of architecture and design. (...)   Re: MOC: The Rabbit

Felix: (...) This is so great! I love the expression, the eyes, teeth, and head shape are just perfect. And rowboats for shoulders! I love it! I hope this is the start of a series of similar MOCs... if so, I can't wait to see them! :) Sean (URL) (...) (19 years ago, 23-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

(...) Felix, really nice! He looks like the rabbit from Wallace and Gromit's latest film - and I really like the look on the face - the nuanced emotions you can get from your sculptures is simply amazing! I hope to see this in person (or is that in (...) (19 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

(...) Funny you mention what I might pull out of my hat next-- I've had builders block for a few months now. I've had no shortage of ideas, but every time I sat down to put an idea into form I was never satisfied. I associate building with relaxing (...)   Re: MOC: The Rabbit

(...) Hah... Actually, I was thinking of titling the post MOC: Rapid Attack Battle Bot Infantry Technology. (19 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

(...) Thanks for the kind words. I'm happy with the paws especially. I often want just one piece to serve a purpose but don't want to add a lot to make it stay in place. (19 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

(...) So my space suff doesn't impress you, huh? What a jerk you are. ;) See you at HoB! (19 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

(...) Thanks! My wife had a similar response... which is interesting because she normally just gives me a polite but disinetrested, "Oh... thats nice." (19 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

Ohhhh.... it is so cute... Can I hug it? Seriously Felix, where is the pilot? There is a minifig inside, right? I can't find the engines, where the heck are they? Thanks for sharing, JP. (19 years ago, 17-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

  Re: MOC: The Rabbit

Felix, yet again your non-space never fails to astound me. I look forward to seeing it at HoB. I wouldn't be surpised if you get more purchase offers again this year. F (19 years ago, 16-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)
