(...) Looks great--you really caught the essence of the real cat (as seen in the comparison shot) in the pose that you chose to model. Derek (22 years ago, 28-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

(...) I'm planning on getting one of each just to do that very thing and will share the results when it happens. Will probably be 2-4 weeks though so if anyone beats me to it or has them handy then speak up! John #388 (22 years ago, 29-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Prepackaged Lego Mosaic - Color distribution?

Does anyone know the color distribution in the (4) prepackaged mosaic sets? I'm getting antsy to build my custom mosaic, and since they do not appear to be offering custom kits, I thought I'd try to see if the prepackaged sets would suffice. I tried (...)   Minifig sculpture renderings

After building a sculpture of a minifig ((URL) wanted to make more. However, since it could take a while to get enough bricks together, I decided to see what a smaller scale would look like. (...) She was very surprised and liked it very much. @8^) It's now residing in her office cubicle. (...) Well, the real cat *was* that size at some point a few years ago, so it could have been a perfect 1:1 model, except he grew up. (...) I didn't (...)   Re: Ringo the Cat: my first attempt at LEGO sculpture

(...) Thanks! It helps to have an extremely cute cat as your model. @8^) (...) You mean, like, if I ever finish illustrating the Bible? Heh, heh, heh... (...) It was really weird for me to think about how to model a large three-dimensional object. (...) (22 years ago, 28-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Ringo the Cat: my first attempt at LEGO sculpture

(...) I think it's a darn pretty nifty likeness. Just enough caricature to make it interesting. But I want to know, how did you get RealRingo(tm) to pose alongside LegoRingo(tm)?? We can never photograph our cats, they won't hold still long enough. (22 years ago, 28-Jan-03, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

Re: Ringo the Cat: my first attempt at LEGO sculpture

(...) What a great idea! What did she think of it? <<snip URL's>> (...) I was blown away *before* I saw the real thing, but it's even more amazing when you see how close it is to the original (however not in 1:1 scale :-) ). Also, what did the cat (...)
